SASHA LEVINSON JOINS DISCUSSION PANEL AT CIFF PERSPECTIVES PROGRAM

In its third year at the Festival, the Perspectives Panel will focus on women in the field of immersive storytelling, who are representing projects and experiences in the CIFF42 Perspectives exhibition.  we’ll discuss how women today are using new technology in film.

A inspiring panel of filmmakers are joining Sasha in the discussion:

Mallory Martin is the Director of Programming and Projection at CIFF, as well as head of CIFF’s Perspectives exhibition since its inception in 2016.

Hannah Donegan is an award-winning short filmmaker and producer whose work is strongly focused on documentary and social justice films. In addition to being involved with the Perspectives VR experience Eye of the Beholder, she is also a producer of the CIFF feature film My Enemy, My Brother. http://fathomfilmgroup.com/2013/hannah-donegan/

Nathalie Mathe is an award-winning VR creative, as well as an animation and documentary shorts director. She also runs NativeVR, a VR studio focused on celebrating diversity, in which she created the Perspectives VR experience UTURN – a VR series on gender equality in the tech industry. http://nathaliemathe.com/

Tracy Rector is a mixed race (Choctaw/Seminole) filmmaker, curator, community organizer, and arts advocate. In addition to directing the Perspectives VR experience Ch’aak’ S’aagi, she is also the impact producer for the CIFF feature film.
